S1 Design Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, s1designstudio.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, your message, and — if you choose to share it — how you heard about us.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our analytics and advertising tools may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you, using cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and discuss potential design and renovation projects.
- To provide, maintain, and improve our services and our website.
- To measure and improve our marketing, including the performance of online advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, analytics, and advertising. This includes the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which records the pages you view and certain interactions on this site and reports them to Meta so that we can measure how our advertising performs and reach relevant audiences.
If you send us a message through our contact form, we also record that an enquiry was made, so that we can tell which advertising leads to genuine enquiries. Meta's advertising tools are additionally configured to collect the name and email address you enter into that form. Those details are converted into a scrambled code in your browser before they are sent, and Meta uses that code to match your enquiry to a Meta account so that our advertising can be measured and improved. We do not send Meta the contents of your message.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising in the ad preferences of your Meta account.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate — such as our website host, our contact-form delivery service, and advertising and analytics platforms like Meta — and only as needed for them to provide those services, or where required by law. We do not sell your data.
Data retention
We keep the information you provide for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain reasonable business records, after which we delete it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent. Third-party links
Our website may link to external sites, such as our Instagram profile. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
